At Blossom, we are often asked:
“What makes your approach different, are you Montessori?”
The answer is: we follow the EYFS curriculum, enriched by the latest neuroscience research. Our approach is Reggio Emilia-inspired, and thoughtfully influenced by both Montessori and Pikler. We’ve intentionally combined the most meaningful elements of each to meet the needs of today’s children in a modern, multicultural world.
🌸 Why We Are Primarily Reggio Emilia
We chose Reggio Emilia as our core approach because it offers:
- 100 Languages of Expression — allowing children to communicate through art, movement, nature, construction, storytelling, and more
- Educators as co-learners and researchers, not just guides
- Learning deeply rooted in relationships, environment, and community
Reggio gives us the flexibility to follow children’s ideas with curiosity, to create projects around their wonderings, and to evolve with the times, not just follow a set method.

We hold deep respect for the Montessori philosophy. It has shaped global early education with its emphasis on:
- Hands-on learning and real materials
- Independence and concentration
- Respect for the child’s rhythm and capabilities
These ideas remain a part of our DNA. At Blossom, you’ll find:
