Blossom Summer Camp Week 3 - Wild West

Yee-haaa! This week we have been focusing on the wild west and farm yard animals. We learned all about where milk comes from by milking our own cow! Hands-on tasks are fantastic for helping us remember what we learned and squeezing the 'teats' gave us a super hand work out to get our little hands ready for writing.

We had lots of egg-cellent learning activities this week. We ran an egg and spoon race and tried out egg bowling. Guiding Rosie the chicken through the farm to escape the fox was so much fun! We hopped, skipped and jumped our way through the obstacle course to escape. We also made chicken masks on paper plates using mixed media materials, we made the feather with wool to create the right texture.

We counted our chickens before they hatched! To develop our maths skills sung 5 little eggs and counted the baby animals. We worked on our sorting skills by matching the baby animal to its mummy too.

We hope to see you next week for our exciting theme "Rain-forest - Roaming in the Jungle”. For more pictures of our Summer Camp please visit our Summer Camp Gallery and to watch our videos by clicking on  Summer Camp videos.
