Blossom Summer Camp Week Two - Open Ocean

Aye, Aye, Captain! This week we have been focusing on all activities related to the theme “Open Ocean - Pirates”. At Blossom we ensure that each activity follows our Skygarden approach to learning by ensuring activities incorporate children learning through their senses by associating their learning through experience by touching, tasting, smelling, seeing and hearing.

Shiver Me Timbers, our Blossomites have had fidgety feet this week as they explored different texture between there toes such as grass, sand and mud. They even walked the plank when practicing their balance in the gym!

We tested our map skills when searching for hidden treasure in the garden, and even created our own treasure chests to store their gold coins and jewels.

Exploring the Skygarden basket was so much fun, we tried to recognize squishy, knobbly, soft, hard and many different textured items while blindfolded, it was exciting to use our other senses. Our Blossomites enjoyed an obstacle course in the gym where they jumped and dived through hula hoops and on the hunt to find treasure.

Our little Pirates created their own pirate hooks using recyclables and even created their own pirate flag for their ships.

All hands ahoy, we hope to see you next week for our exciting theme "Wild West - Farm Yard”. For more pictures of our Summer Camp please visit Our Summer Camp Gallery and to watch our videos by clicking on  Summer Camp videos. To register your child for Summer Camp please click on  register now.
