Report Cards Go Home Today!

Blossom Nurseries in Dubai ensure that all parents are fully involved and updated on their child’s progress and development through Report Cards which are shared twice per year. These report cards follow specific frameworks that includes child’s development following the EYFS British curriculum. For effective early years practice, teachers assess each child differently and plan their development according to their specific needs. Working in partnership with parents is a very important aspect when it comes to child’s development and learning.

Teachers report on many aspects of a child’s development, the core aspects being the EYFS seven areas of learning and development and their aspects:

  • Personal Social and Emotional Development (making relationships, self-confidence and self- awareness, managing feelings and behaviour)

  • Physical Development (moving and handling, health and self-care)

  • Communication and Language (speaking, understanding, listening and attention)

  • Literacy (reading and writing)

  • Math (shape, space and measure, numbers)

  • Expressive Arts and Design (exploring and using media and materials, being imaginative)

  • Knowledge and Understanding (people and communities, technology, the world)

New children enroling at The Blossom Nursery will recieve a baseline assessment within the initial first two joining weeks. After this teachers will spend a year monitoring the child’s progress through six week intervals of observation reporting. During this year, teachers will work with children one on one as well as in a group, collecting evidence in each child’s Smartbook, sharing the academic planning with parents through Google Classroom and a variety of photos and videos showcasing children’s development.

After the report cards are shared with the parents, teachers hold a conference with each parent to ensure that they fully understand and work together as a team, to meet the child’s needs and interest through planning and sharing ideas.

If you want to know more about our academic reporting you can contact our Education Director at eda.bidinger@blossomchildren.com or call 055NURSERY to schedule a tour of our branches.
